PTFE Tape - 0.5" x 520"

Cheap insurance against gluing a ring permanently to your finishing mandrel.

PTFE tape is one of the simplest protections in our CA-finishing workflow. Wrap the mandrel before installing the ring on the Slow Speed Ring Turner and the non-stick tape gives stray CA a barrier between the ring and the mandrel.

It is thin, flexible, inexpensive, and much easier to replace than a ring or mandrel after a glue run.

Setup and use

Wrap a few smooth layers around the mandrel, then slide the ring over the tape for a snug fit. Replace the tape when it becomes contaminated with cured CA or loses its clean surface.
