Ring Chuck Only - for SSRT (slow speed ring turner)

The self-centering SSRT chuck for holding a ring from the outside and leaving the interior open.

This is the ring chuck assembly for makers who already own a BRS Slow Speed Ring Turner. The adjustable prongs grip the outside of the band so you can rotate the ring while applying finish to the interior.

The adapter slides over the SSRT's 7mm motor shaft and locks with two grub screws. Full-chuck and replacement-prong options are available.

Setup and use

Seat the adapter on the motor shaft and tighten both grub screws. Twist the two chuck plates in opposite directions to move the prongs until they grip the ring.

For CA finishing, wrap the prongs with PTFE or another glue-resistant tape. If the chuck loosens, adjust the center screw or rear wingnuts in small increments to change mechanism friction.
