About this product
Surfite Ring Blanks
Genuine surfboard-resin layers cut into one-of-a-kind turning blanks.
Surfite forms naturally during surfboard production as tinted resin drips, pools, and cures in layers while boards are glassed. Those accumulated layers become a solid material with stripes, swirls, and color transitions that are revealed as you shape the blank.Every block is different. Some show tight parallel bands, while others open into irregular lines and flowing color as the ring is turned.

You may need a chuck, a boring tool, and cutting tools suited to your type of lathe.
Turn and shape the blank to your desired ring profile, then sand through the scratches and polish the resin to a high-gloss finish. The pattern you expose will depend on how the blank is oriented and shaped.
